2MC Laws

This week we were working on laws. We learned about the ones in the state and in the whole country. We got an article on the iPad and learned about the constitution and how important it is. We also learned some vocab.

Then we created our own fake laws. We made advertisements using Haiku Deck to try to convince people to vote for them. It was really fun. We hope that they might come true someday. Check out our projects below.

Parts of the Mass

This week we made a flip book of the parts of the Mass. There are four parts. The first one is the "Gathering." The Second one is Liturgy of the Word. The third one is the Liturgy of the Eucharist. The last one is the Sending Forth. We had to draw a picture that reminded us of what happens in each part. We had fun making the flip book!

2MC counts money!

Every time in Math Rotations, 2MC counts money. The teacher writes an amount on a little white board and we have to use the least amount of coins to make that exact amount. It is really really hard. Sometimes she gives us really tricky ones like $5.82 and we don't get to use half dollars. Ms. Crowley's trick is to always start the coin or dollar that is worth the most. It really helps us doing money. I love working with money. By: Swan

Hot Chocolate Cause and Effect

We read the book, "If you give a moose a muffin." We practiced Cause and Effect. We did our project. We had to make a hot chocolate picture. If you drink hot chocolate, what would it make you do? It made me throw snowballs at cars! I like doing the hot chocolate project. By: Roly Poly

It was fun but it took hard work to cut all the pieces out and it looked great at the end. By: Bunny

Oh no! My snowman melted!

We made a snowman! We pretended he was melting. We wrote about how he melted. We glued him on a cool background. One of the snowman in our class went to Hawaii and melted. Another one jumped in a warm pool. Mine tried to not melt but he did anyways.

Cause is why and Effect is what. We worked on cause and effect this week. The snowman were melting and we had to explain the cause for why they melted. We wrote stories. All the snowman stories were different. It was fun. By: Elephant
