Holy Thursday

Today we went to church in the gym to do washing of the hands. By: Hamster

It represents how Jesus washed the feet of his disciples to show us that even if you are a leader you still have to do things for others. By: Cat

We got in a line and the person in front of us washed our hands. We had to wash the person behind us. By: Cheetah

We washed people behind us hands and said, "I will serve you." Then we dipped their hands in the water. Jesus wants us to serve others. By: Leopard

We had a Sedar meal with 2LC because Jesus was celebrating a Passover meal with his apostles at the Last Supper. By: Rhino

A Sedar meal is what they would have eaten at the Last Supper. They would have eaten greens like lettuce, the charoset, a shank bone, parsley, a bitter herb, and a hard boiled egg. By: Cheetah

The Passover that Jesus celebrated with his apostles is now called the Last Supper because Jesus was about to die on the cross and he wanted to have one last time to have a meal with his disciples, but they did not understand what was going to happen. By Lion

The Sedar Meal was yummy and I thought it was really cool to see what Jesus would have eaten at the Last Supper. By: Lion

I liked it a lot. It was fun to celebrate with 2LC. By: Hummingbird

Holy Week Wheels!

We did these Holy Week Wheels. It shows what Jesus did the week before he died. It was a wheel where you would twist it and it would show what Jesus went through. We learned about Palm Sunday. Jesus was riding a donkey. When he was riding on the donkey he was going to Jerusalem. People were waving palms at him. We also learned Holy Thursday. On Holy Thursday Jesus washed his apostles feet and they ate a meal called the Last Supper. After the supper they went to the garden to pray. Judas betrayed Jesus. He picked 30 silver coins over Jesus. Finally, we learned about Jesus dying on the cross. We read the book, "The proud tree" which was from the perspective of Rex the cross. This Sunday Jesus will rise from the dead on Easter! I am excited for Easter. It was really fun to color the wheel and they were all very very beautiful.

The rotunda is cool because the windows open up. We got to see Scottish people playing drums. We got to go to a meeting with the mayor and city council people. A band sang a pretty song and we got to lead the pledge of allegiance. It was really cool and really fun. By: Penguin

2MC and the Giant Beanstalk

This week we read three different versions of Jack and the Giant Beanstalk. We read the original. We read Wayanetta and the Giant cornstalk and we read Jack the Baked Beanstalk. We compared them and we even got to write our own in groups. We also got to make our own picture of us climbing a beanstalk. We painted a giant beanstalk and we took a picture of all of us pretending to climb the beanstalk. We wrote what we would do if we could climb a giant beanstalk. I wouldn't take the gold. I would just look around. It was really fun. By: Cobra
