Leprechauns in a jar!

We did a writing project called, "Leprechauns in a jar." It was fun. We drew the Leprechauns and then wrote about them. It was awesome drawing them. By: Leopard

We wrote a story about how to catch a leprechaun and then we drew a picture of the leprechauns that we caught in a jar. By: Cheetah

I caught mine by hiding behind the couch and using a box with a string. When I saw the leprechaun I pulled the string and the box fell. By: Kitten

I caught mine by waiting for it to rain. Then I walked to the end of the rainbow. I found the Leprechaun and caught him with a net. By: Butterfly

Thing one and Thing two... adjectives

We read the Cat and the Hat and then we made a Thing 1 and Thing 2 and then we wrote adjectives that went with them. We painted our hands to make their head and hair and we drew the body on red paper. I love them. By: Parrot

Our Silly Presidents

We made a President video. We studied the presidents. Each person got their own president. We had to learn about our presidents. We looked up information on three different apps on the iPads. We also looked online because it was hard to find how tall they were and how they died. Then we wrote a paragraph about our president. We acted like we were the president. We funny videos with our mouths and a picture of the real president. We pretended they were talking. Miss Crowley made them into one big long video. We hope you like our video and learn something new!

Cursive Monsters

The cursive monster involves your name in cursive, but it doesn’t really show your name. First we had to write our name in cursive with pencil. Then we outlined it in sharpie. Then we had to flip it over and trace it on the back. Then we had to color it. Then we put glue and crazy stuff on it.

When we were all done we wrote about monster. We had to include adjectives and fun verbs.
I had so much fun making cursive monsters.

They are going to pray for us too! We put a picture of ourselves in our letters to them. We can't wait to get letters back from them! By: Humming Bird

The 3 Branches of the Government

This week we learned about the three branches of the government. Miss Crowley split us into branches. I was in the legislative branch. We had to take our shoes off to create a poster on the ground. We drew the US capitol building and learned what our branch does. We shared our posters with the class. We made crowns that told us what branch we were in. I liked it.

Our Favorite Books

This week we finished our Favorite Book Writing Project. We had to share our projects with our friends. We each had to pick a book and I picked the Orange Outlaw by Ron Roy. We had to write a paragraph and draw a picture of the cover. The picture had to look just like the cover of the book.

I liked this project because I really like drawing and writing. It’s really cool to look at everybody’s favorite book on the wall. I’ve read seven on the wall. I can’t wait to read more of them.

100th day of school!

In the morning we made silly books. We had to write things that might make our teacher crazy if there were 100 of them. I wrote that 100 screaming kids would make our teacher crazy. It was awesome.

Miss Crowley hid 100 Hershey kisses around the classroom. We had to find them all, but we lost #43 and didn’t find it until Friday. It was in the bookcase. Each Hershey kiss had a number sticker on them. We put the stickers on a 100th day chart. I had lots of fun. By: Cheetah
